What are the measures being taken in regards to COVID-19?

nPOD will continue to monitor and follow CDC guidelines. This meeting will be hybrid, so there will be an in person and online broadcast. The safety and health of our attendees is our priority and because of that, the following guidelines will be put in place:

  • Masks are expected to be worn at all times expect when actively eating or drinking.
  • We encourage attendees to practice social distancing wherever possible.
  • There will be hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel. 
  • Gloves will be provided at all buffet meals.
  • Hotel will clean meeting rooms after each use. 

Where can I get COVID tested?

Walgreens offers three types of drive-through COVID-19 tests, including PCR. You can make an appointment for a test up to a week in advance here, and while result times vary, you should be notified of your results within 72 hours. nPOD staff should be available for transporting you to the testing site, but if not, we recommend ride services such as Uber or Lyft. You can schedule your test up to a week in advance, and if you do not have a US address, you can put the hotel address. Walgreens does not offer QR codes.

Will online attendance be offered?

Yes, the 2022 nPOD Meeting will now be offered as a hybrid meeting, so there will be an in person and online broadcast. More details regarding the hybrid option will be forthcoming. 

How do I register for the online portion of the meeting?

Registration is now closed.

Am I able to cancel my hotel reservation?

If you book your hotel room through the nPOD annual meeting hotel site, the reservation must be cancelled 3 days prior to arrival by 3:00 PM EST to avoid a one night room, resort fee and sales tax penalty.

Am I able to cancel my registration?

The cancellation deadline for registration is January 23, 2022. Cancellation and/or substitution requests must be received by the UF Continuing Medical Education in writing via email or fax (352) 733-0007. More information can be found at the bottom of this page

Am I able to switch my registration from the in-person to online format?

Yes, please email us at npod@pathology.ufl.edu to notify us that you would like to attend the Annual Meeting virtually instead of in-person.

Where should I fly to?

The closest airport is in Jacksonville, FL (JAX). For international travelers, be aware you may have to accommodate for a potential layover at another airport, since Jacksonville offered limited international flights.

When is hotel check-in and check-out?

Hotel check-in is 4:00 pm. Hotel check-out is 12:00 pm. 

Am I able to park my car or a rented car at the hotel?

One Ocean Resort only offers Valet Parking. nPOD meeting participants will have discounted rate of USD $17 fee per vehicle per night.
